Most people type at 40 to 60 words a minute and talk at 150. If a good part of your day is prompts, replies and specs for an AI, the gap is hours. Move the sliders.

How this is calculated
Words you write per day = minutes × your typing speed. Speaking the same words at 150 wpm, plus about half a second per dictation for Holdkey to transcribe and paste, gives the talking time. The difference, over 21 working days a month, is the number at the top. It ignores thinking time, which is the same either way, and it ignores that people say more when talking is cheap, which is the whole point.
The typing speeds are from published studies of average computer users (around 40 wpm) and professional typists (around 65 to 75). Conversational speech sits between 140 and 160 wpm.
