Terms of use

What you get

• Raw mode is free, for personal and commercial use, on as many PCs as you like.
• Clean mode is a paid licence: monthly, yearly, or a one-time founder licence. One licence covers up to three PCs that you use.
• Updates are included while your licence is active. A founder licence includes updates for the life of the product.

Buying and refunds

• Purchases are processed by Polar, the merchant of record. Their receipt and customer portal are your record of purchase; your licence key is in both.
• If Holdkey does not work for you, email hello@holdkey.app within 14 days of purchase for a full refund. No form, no questions.
• Subscriptions can be cancelled at any time from the customer portal and stop at the end of the paid period.

What you may not do

• Share, resell or publish a licence key, or use one licence for more than the covered PCs.
• Remove or work around the licence check.
• Use Holdkey to break the law, or to record people without the consent your jurisdiction requires.

Your text is yours

Everything you dictate belongs to you. Holdkey claims no rights to it and, as described in the privacy page, never receives it.

Warranty and liability

Holdkey is provided as is. Speech recognition and cleanup make mistakes, and you are responsible for reading what was typed before you send it, run it or rely on it. To the extent the law allows, our liability is limited to the amount you paid for the licence in the twelve months before the claim.

Changes

If these terms change in a way that matters, the date at the top changes and licence holders are told by email. Continued use after that means you accept the new terms.
